Around the Area

Evergreen is a charming mountain town and delightful destination situated halfway between the city of Denver and the high country ski areas. No matter what season it is, there is much to do and see. Be sure and visit the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce website to get an idea of the activites in the area and calendar of events.

Outdoors...
Jefferson County Open Space Parks are scattered throughout the area offering miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Many of them are within a few minutes drive of the Meadows at Marshale.
Colorado ski areas offer some of the best terrain in the world and provide countless activities throughout the year.
Evergreen Lake offers boat rentals, nature paths, free summer concerts, and ice skating in the winter.
Horseback riding, golf, rafting and fly fishing are other favorite outdoor activities in the surrounding area.

Drive...
The Lariat Loop, Mount Evans Scenic Byway, and the Hwy. 285 corridor offer scenic drives within a short distance of Evergreen.
For those wanting to venture further on scenic roads, destinations include Estes Park, Steamboat Springs, Aspen, Crested Butte and Pueblo.

Attractions...
There are so many fun activities to seek out, but some favorites include the nearby Tiny Town, Heritage Square, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Idaho Springs gold mine tours, Coors Brewery, and Central City.

Special Events...
Evergreen has a full calendar of events during the summer including a Rodeo, Jazz Festival, Arts Fair and free summer concerts. A vistit to the Little Bear Saloon or Center for the Arts will round out the visit.
Attendance at a sporting event in Denver or concert at Red Rocks would complete the Colorado experience!
